Toyeca Top Twenty Times Listings

Messaggio da Manmountain » gio 18 gen 2007, 1:40

Hi and greetings to everyone. :-)

I have started a new section over at Re-Volt Motorsports, it's going to be dedicated to keeping the latest Track time records for Toyeca racers.
It will list the top twenty submitted times for best lap and best 4 lap races.
There are a specific yet simple set of rules to enter a submission, but that is mainly to keep it fare and competitive.
Please read the rules on the Toyeca Times Top Twenty web page.

Submissions can be made directly to : toyeca-tttt@blueyonder.co.uk

It is open to all racers, both online and offline, and the use of any downloadable track.

Hi Manmountain!
I don't understand one thing: Can You explain better this rule:
"Preferably one of the opponents must be within 95% of your finish time to prove you had reasonable challenge."
Thankx

Ps: This is a good idea, I used this type of "time submitting" for my first championship here on Arm, 6 years ago!

Basically, you need an AI car or online racer that is capable of finishing within 95% of your finishing time, either just in front or just behind you.
Just to prove you had an actual challenge while completing the race, rather than having a totally unchallenged race.

If you look at my submissions you will see a car called 'MM AI Toyeca' which is a specifically tuned car that matches my own driving skills on most tracks.

I want to encourage any Re-Volt racer to submit their times, they don't need to be online racers or the verybest, there is space for a top twenty.

I think that your already submitted times are too hard to beat! People are not stimulated to submitt new times if they cannot be the best...
For example, I tryed to make a race on baja 2... I'm not very strong as a driver, and I've made a time 9 seconds slower than you... And I don't installed other cars to make the race more challange...
So I'm imbarassed to submitt my time, because it's not a good time...
I think that this feel is valid for other people.

LOL
You consider my times to be good ? that's a joke!
Believe me there are better racers than me out there and they could easily knock another 5 seconds off my best time.

This is one of the reasons I have space for twenty people, you never know your time might be in the all time top twenty, ;-)

Please submit your times for tracks that are already listed and other tracks that are not, you will be top of the list until some submits a better time. 8-)

Go on, get your name in lights, grab your 15 seconds of fame. :D

Ok... There's just one more question:
I have to race only on tracks downloaded from web, or I can also race on original Re-Volt's tracks, like Supermarket or TITH ?

Any Track, as long as it's available for all to race.

What car do you suggest to install for having a "challange race" and a opponent between the 95% limit?

Sorry for the late response,

The best challenge for you would be the cars that finish just in front or just behind you on a regular basis.

I can suggest that you download my AI challenger that I use : MM_Toye
and see if this car offers you any kind of reasonable challenge.

I'm still waiting for anyone to send me some of their own Toyeca times :?: anyone, please!

Hey Hey! Manmountain! Guess what!!

I am currently downloading some tracks for the Toyeca challenge!!!
I had to iron out some bugs on my pc, that's why I was unavailable for a long time, sorry. (also the FIA GT car you request to me is far off it's developement, but I have a good base to start within)

Plus I am pretty busy with the real things of life and the developement of a new MOD.

Talking about MODS....I heared on Revolt Pub there are some troubles with the english string in my pro-MOD.....this can't be!!! I tested the english translation by myself, and it works well. (with the original version of the game, nor the Twilight's version)

Cheer up man! I'm back in business!

I do not know why the text string in your mod was wrong, but I think it was their mistake not yours.

I have uploaded your Toyeca times, many thanks, keep them comming.

I have noticed that the AI for Freezing Rain did not respond as challenging as mine, I assume you are using the original track AI ? my .SDSUAI pack of cars comes with an updated more challenging track AI for this track, please try it.

Thanks again. ;-)

Facile no? Bastano 10 minti scarsi per fare 2-3 garette da 4 giri, dai raga, non è carino questo menefottismo nei confronti di un tipo che potrebbe benissmo fregarsene di noi e invece ci sostiene e vuole collaborare con noi.

Dai bimbi! ;-)
