hi guys, I'm going to show you a car that you could find only here, on Aliasrevoltmaster.
I'm talking about THIS:

our admin's beloved rc car, the SUPER FOX 4WD.
the project started in january 2015 and after so long we are very close to its end.
we are talking about a 2048x2048 bmp file and more than 8000 faces divided into 9 prm files. in other words, A QUALITY AND DETAIL LEVEL NEVER SEEN SO FAR (well, atleast here XD)
in the end we'll release 2 versions of the car, each one with a specific parameters set corresponding to the H - L switch of the original rc car, so the H version will be like a 'boosted L version'.
I hope you guys like this, it would be an honor and a pleasure for us to know that someone will use OUR super fox to race out of italy :-)

I close this post with the credits
first 3d model: crescviper
3d models fix and set up: burner94 and kratos
decals: kratos and burner94
parameters: burner94 (as soon as possible  )

stay tuned for incoming updates, see ya!

Very cool RC-Stuff. 8-)

Did you modeled the 3d model with blender?

If yes i would really like to know, how do you have made exactly the spike wheels?

I'm happy that you like it :-)
Yes, the car is modeled with blender, and the spikes on
the wheels are simple trapezes without the base to save
polygons, put inside the wheels, easy stuff
The wheels you see in the pics are different from the actual ones. They are now fully 3d modeled and soon I
will post new screenshots to show all the changes 8-)
If you have other questions feel free to ask :-)

Thats good.

Can you show or explain me with pictures, how do you model a complete wheel with the spikes step by step?

That would be really nice.

Actually I am not at home but next week I can try to make a sort of tutorial for you :)
In this moment I can simply tell you what I did
Our boss TheFactor82 gave me and burner94 a lot of pics of his super fox and when we had to work on the wheels, after making all the details on the bmp file, initially we took a 3d model used a lot for 'normal' rv cars and burner put the trapezes on it. So the steps were: take the wheel, make it larger for the back, create and set trapezes, export and create the version for the opposite side
But subsequently on my own I started modeling the original ones with blender. I deleted the extern faces of the rim and using a front view pic of the original ones set as background in the ortho view I created them. Basically the process was made of 3 operations in loop: selection of the vertexes, extrusion of those and manual set in the right position.
Same thing for the inner side, only more difficult XD
I hope it is all clear XD
In case it isn't I'm here for any clarification :-)

sorry boss for doublepost :allah:
RV_Pure, I made a tutorial with some images, but our admin had some troubles at home and he couldn't put it online. in a few days you should find it online :-)
Now I'm gonna show you some new update

here we have the front spoiler, with new details in the central zone (new curves and triangular pins)
Immagine

have a look to the new fully 3D modeled wheels!
Immagine

this is the new side view. there are a more detailed mapping, new aerial files and new 3D details (like the charger connector) and fixes
the aerial is not finished yet, it will become a bit longer and its position is not perfectly set.
Immagine

here the changes on the bottom: there are the connection with the engine and other 3D details and fixes
Immagine

in this pic you can have a look to the new axles, front and rear! the rear ones are not in the exact position, that's due to a change made on the back, but
this thing will be fixed very very soon ;-)
Immagine

These are the most important changes made so far, but there is still more, and more has to be done (but we're in the end!)
this car, in its 2 versions, will be released in our meeting next week end, for the ones who will be there, and immediately after for everyone else!
I hope you liked the news :-)

You guys make an excellend job. Fantoytastic :D

But honestly, your pictures are not really helpful for me. I need more a step by step instruction about the modeling process, if i want to model spike tires on blender.

this is exactly what I did in my tutorial, but our boss had some problems at home and he couldn't upload it on our site. I will tell you here
when it will be online, or maybe TheFactor82 in my place :-)
don't worry, is just a matter of time :-)

I have re-uploaded the zip file with a new readme file, in which there are some car details and a special comment from our admin TheFactor82, in order to protect our final result.
